Heinz Wilhelm of AOC receives AVK special award at ICC Stuttgart
4 October 2017At the International Composites Congress (ICC) in Stuttgart, AOC employee Heinz Wilhelm received the AVK Special Award for his great contributions promoting the Composites Industry.
“The AVK Special Award is an award for providing outstanding services to the AVK and to the Composites Industry”, explains Professor Jens Ridzewski, member of the AVK Board. “Heinz Wilhelm has been working for more than 47 years in the composites industry and in this period has been the driver behind many great product developments and customer successes.”
Heinz continuously supported the AVK in its role promoting Composites in Germany and Europe. He has being speaker at AVK seminars, participating in multiple AVK expert task forces, and greatly contributed to efforts for composites industry standardization.
TRACK RECORD
Heinz Wilhelm is currently Technical Service Manager at AOC, supporting customers across markets and applications and has planned to retire in 2018. He started his career in 1970, at that time being employed by BASF in Ludwigshafen (Germany). After several assignments abroad with BASF, DSM and later AOC (including in Chile, Columbia, Pakistan, and China), Heinz has contributed to building a strong and sustainable European Composites industry.
