Synolite® 2103-Q-1 is an unsaturated polyester based on Orthophthalic acid and NPG, and is MgO thickenable. The resin can be cured with both conventional curing agents and low energy UV-Light (365 - 420 nm).
Major applications
Synolite™ 2103-Q-1 is suitable for the production of glass-fiber reinforced parts with excellent mechanical properties, which require outstanding chemical resistance and electrical properties (e.g. CIPP, tanks, vessel, hydraulic engineering, pipes, boats, corrosion protection and electrical industry).
Synolite™ 2103-Q-1 is specially formulated for the production of glass-fiber reinforced prepregs. These prepregs are very well suited for the repair of sewage systems via UV-cured CIPP.
Synolite™ 2103-Q-1 can be easily thickened by the addition of magnesium oxide.
Certifications and Approvals
Cured unreinforced Synolite™ 2103-Q-1 conforms to type 1140 according to DIN 16946/2 and is classified in group 3 according DIN 18820/1. According EN 13121, parts 1 and 2 the resin is classified in group 4.
