Synolite™ 4120-N-1
High flexibility unsaturated Isophthalic resin for Flexibilizing resin formulationsProduct description
Synolite™ 4120-N-1 is a highly flexible Isophthalic resin, typically used for flexibilizing resin formulations (including gelcoats). Key benefit of using Synolite™ 4120-N-1 is the possibility to retain the chemical resistance of the blend.
Synolite™ 4120-N-1 can also be used as a stand-alone resin, because of its strength, low volume shrinkage, low water absorption and chemical resistance.
Major applications
Synolite 4120-N-1 can be used alone or in combination with rigid resins for the manufacture of flexible products. Due to the good water resistance Synolite™ 4120-N-1 is eminently suitable for the production of flexible gel coats.
Synolite™ 4120-N-1 can also be used in casting applications for putties, if necessary in combination with rigid resins.
Impregnating resins, particularly Isophthalic resins, can be flexibilized by addition of Synolite™ 4120-N-1 allowing to maintain great chemical resistance.
