AOC resins applied in the corrosion resistance works of Gree’s project
In August 2024, the electronic components expansion project base of Gree Group was inaugurated and put into production. The project is a new 5.0 industrial space customized by Gree Group for Huaxin Microelectronics. Shanghai Keris Company undertook the corrosion-resistant project , chose reliable quality and reasonable cost anti-corrosion solutions together with AOC technical experts.
High corrosion resistance requirements
In the electronics industry, ultrapure water by resistivity is divided into 5 levels, namely 18MΩ.cm, 15MΩ.cm, 10MΩ.cm, 2MΩ.cm and 0.5MΩ.cm, to distinguish among different water quality standards. Ultrapure water can be perceived as a powerful solvent. The higher its resistivity is, the more powerful its penetration and diffusion of the corrosion-resistant layer are, with the more stringent corrosion requirements.
The corrosion-resistant solution in Gree's project involves pure water preparation room, polishing room, interlayer in pipelines, recycling water treatment room; as well as the whole process system containing ultrapure water and water reuse system. Ultrapure water system requires its water quality level with 18.2MΩ, the overall corrosion resistance solution for corrosion resistance requirements are very high.

Carefully Designed Solutions
The technical engineers of AOC and Keris select the right materials and design a system solutions according to the different functions of each anti-corrosion area, corrosive media composition, concentration, storage form and temperature. The material system includes AOC vinyl cement primer, water-resistant marine resin, and corrosion-resistant vinyl resin.
AOC Vipel® F013 series corrosion-resistant resins are suitable for products subjected to particularly high static or dynamic loads, such as pipes, tanks, ducts and flooring applications.
Atlac® 432 PC-920 is a primer resin with low viscosity, strong penetration, strong adhesion to concrete substrates, which is suitable for construction on the surface of concrete substrates and has excellent compatibility with corrosion-resistant linings and concrete substrates, as well as excellent operability. The interface transition layer formed after curing is strong, heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant.

Providing maximum protection
Reliable material and process determines the quality of the project. According to the owner's requirements Keris selects the right process method, improves the film thickness of anticorrosive materials, and produces the construction program, including the foundation inspection and repair, grinding and brushing; high penetration vinyl cement primer layer; vinyl ester cement batch coating; three-layer reinforcement layer; vinyl putty layer; vinyl anticorrosive top coating. Stopping the damage by the corrosive medium solution on the concrete structure helps to protect the concrete structure, maximize the extension of the service life of the concrete structure of the wastewater station, completely improve the concrete structure with insufficient corrosion-resistance, which can help to protect the floor and the wastewater station’s concrete structure to the largest extent.
